How often should I have my restaurant vent a hood exhaust system cleaned?
Your System should be inspected quarterly, and if the system is found to be contaminated with grease laden deposits the entire system shall then be cleaned.
Below you will find the Inspection Schedule Recommended by the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association Inc.)

Systems serving high-volume cooking operations such as 24-hour cooking, charbroiling or wok cooking Quarterly
Systems serving moderate-volume cooking operations Semiannually

Why do I need to have my hood cleaned?
To comply with and pass local fire marshal and health department inspections. In addition, to ensure a properly functioning kitchen and to prevent grease fires which can damage your property or injure employees or customers.

How often should I have my hood cleaned?
Usually this depends on the volume of which you cook. High volume or 24 hour establishments should have their hood cleaned every 3 months. Moderate volume establishments should have theirs cleaned every six months.
